VISIT HOI AN MARKET AND A VIETNAMESE COOKING CLASS

I will accompany you during an hour and a half visit through the famous Hoi An Market where you will discover the exotic fruits and vegetables commonly found in central Vietnam.

We will talk about the different spices, plants and the many other items you will see on the shelves. This will be the perfect opportunity for you to taste a variety of, sometimes surprising, local products.

Afterwards, we will embark on a 45-minute boat trip on the Thu Bon River to arrive at my native village where the cooking class will take place in my grandmother's traditional house.

- Market visit is available only with the morning cooking class: 8 am to 9:30 am.

Upon our arrival at my native village, you will be able to taste some delicious, fresh fruit juice, and discover my family’s traditional house. After having explained to you all the stages of working the rice with period "machines", you will then prepare your own rice cakes.

Your cooking class will take place in the garden where it is cool. You will prepare four typical dishes; Banh Xeo, grilled pork skewers, green papaya salad and fish prepared according to a local method. (A vegetarian menu is available upon request). You will be able to recreate each of these meals after you have returned home, thanks to the cooking guide offered to you at the end of the day.

After taking the time to taste your creations in the garden under the bamboo trees, we will have some dessert and set off on our return to Hoi An by boat.
